Liberty Hill ISD Board of Trustees Appoints Jamie Etzkorn to Place 4
LIBERTY HILL, TEXAS – The Liberty Hill ISD Board of Trustees was pleased to announce the appointment of Jamie Etzkorn to serve as the Place 4 trustee. Etzkorn fills the vacancy following the Board’s unanimous decision.
Etzkorn and her family moved to Liberty Hill ISD in 2013. Over the past 12 years, she has been deeply involved in the district through service on campus and district committees, PTO leadership roles, booster club support, and volunteer work. Her contributions include the Campus Education Improvement Committee at Rancho Sienna, PTO treasurer positions at Liberty Hill Intermediate and Santa Rita Middle School, service as secretary on the Legacy Ranch Athletic Booster Club Board, participation on the Long Range Planning Committee, the Districtwide Education Improvement Committee (DEIC), and volunteering with Education Connection.
In addition to her district involvement, Etzkorn is a respected attorney and community leader. She currently serves as an Associate Judge in Williamson County Court at Law No. 2, overseeing mental health hearings, while also managing her private law practice in Liberty Hill. Beyond her professional work, she has served in leadership roles for multiple nonprofit and civic organizations, including president of Operation Liberty Hill, chairperson of the Liberty Hill Giving Tree, and former board member of the Liberty Hill Economic Development Committee.
Etzkorn and her husband have one daughter, a Legacy Ranch High School student who has been in LHISD since Kindergarten.
“I love LHISD because I truly feel at the core of everything is a love for each and every child and a commitment to every child to make them a Champion of their Life and Future,” said Etzkorn. “What excites me most about the position is being part of the legacy of LHISD and continuing to mold and build that legacy for the current students, teachers, and staff and for all future participants in LHISD. I am grateful to the Board for entrusting me with this position. It is a great honor to be selected, and I will not take this appointment lightly.”
Board President Megan Parsons welcomed Etzkorn to the Board, noting her longstanding dedication to Liberty Hill ISD and the community. “Jamie has shown through her years of service and leadership that she is committed to our schools, our students and our mission. We are confident she will be an excellent addition to the Board of Trustees.”
With Etzkorn’s appointment, the LHISD Board of Trustees remains focused on ensuring strong governance, academic excellence, and support for the district’s continued growth. The Place 4 position will be on the ballot in May 2026 to fill the remainder of the unexpired term, and will again be up for election in May 2027 for a full term.
